If you run your business like I do, you’re always looking for ways to grow. When you’ve tried everything out there, you might decide it’s time to try something new. Video is one thing that’s been around for a while, but it’s not something everyone has tried.

YouTube has thousands of visitors each month, so why not use them to your advantage? There are so many things you can do with a video that will help you grow your business. In this post, we’ll talk about a few of those suggestions.

Do you know what to do with your New Twitter Followers?

Monday, August 16th, 2010

Twitter is a great place to meet new people. Do you know what to do with your new Twitter followers? There are so many things you can do with the information you’re given. The most important thing not to do is SPAM them with your information. You’ll lose them quicker then anything else if you do, so it’s best to stay away from that.

When it comes to SPAM you may be doing it and not even realize it. If you send direct messages (DM) all the time with your link or information about your business and they aren’t asking for it, that’s SPAM. If you reply to messages your followers post and add your link to their post, that’s SPAM. If you continually reply to posts your followers make and always include your link that could be considered SPAM. read more

What to do if you find you’re in the wrong Business

Wednesday, August 11th, 2010

Working a business is supposed to be fun, but that won’t happen if you choose the wrong business. You must be careful when you are trying to find a business to operate. But you may think you’ve chosen the right business, but what do you do if you find out later on that you chose the wrong one?

The easiest way is to get out of it, but sometimes that’s not easy to do. If that happens, what do you do? The first thing you need to do is call the company and find out what needs to happen in order for you to get out from underneath it. You may have to pay a penalty or you may be under contract and have to stay for a certain amount of time.

If you have customers or business builders you work with, you need to contact them right away and let them know what your plan is. If you have someone in mind that they can contact, you should give them that information so they don’t feel completely alone. When you notify them as soon as you make the decision, they’ll feel better about trusting you even though you’re changing. read more

How to make the most of your Blog Posts

Monday, August 2nd, 2010

A blog post will work for you only if you make it work for you. There are certain things you need to do or you might as well not even publish it. If you don’t do these suggestions your blog won’t be visible to others and if that happens, you’re wasting your time.

Here are a few suggestions that will help your blog posts become the best.

1. Keyword placement

Keywords are important in your article but you don’t want them to overload your article or not be visible. There are a number of tips for keyword placement, but here are a few that I have found work really well.

Use your keyword or phrase in the title of your post. Then you need to take that exact word or phrase and place it somewhere in the first sentence. Then it’s a good idea to place it two or three more times within the body of the post. End your post with your word or phrase somewhere within the last sentence. read more
